    The military provides two options for the use of your Basic Allowance For Housing (BAH). The first is living on base. Your second option is using your BAH to rent or buy a home off base.

You will be provided with the latest information on local housing as well as referral services and relocation assistance. They offer counseling and guidance before entering into a lease agreement and help resolve tenant-landlord disputes.

    Bremerton is the largest city on the Kitsap Peninsula. The peninsula is located in the Puget Sound west of the city of Seattle on Washington's main coast. There are other cities and towns nearby with additional off post housing options including Tracyton, Port Orchard, Silverdale, Bangor, Seabeck, Belfair, and Poulsbo.     About the Installation
    Puget Sound Naval Shipyard was a large producer of ships during World War I, including minesweepers, submarines, ammunition ships, and subchasers. During World War II, Puget Sound saw many damaged ships return to its waters for repairs. Later, the shipyard became a safe place to recycle and deactivate nuclear powered ships. Puget Sound Naval Shipyard is located on the Puget Sound in Bremerton, Washington, at NB Kitsap-Bremerton.
